Both
Mike and Marg made us feel so welcome on our arrival with a
nice cup of coffee and a slice of home made fruit cake which
was excellent. Our room which we stayed in was in the converted
barn over looking fields, was absolutely fab, very clean and
very comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent and very filling (it was all home
produced).
Our stay for the whole weekend was very peaceful and
relaxing and would most definitely recommend to anyone who
wants to get away from it all. I would like to say a big
thank you to both Mike and Marg. |

This
was a little gem of a find. Everything about the converted
barn was fantastic and given such a nice warm welcome and
kind hospitality. Under-floor heating in the bedroom and
bathroom was an added bonus. The kitchen itself was self
contained and you can easily spend a week's holiday with the
fact there is a washing machine, microwave, oven and toaster
to hand. No need to bring any utensils or crockery because
these are all to hand as well. All the decor throughout the
accommodation was very tasteful and pleasing to the eye.
Beautiful views from outside the barn with a patio table and
chairs. The quality of food cooked was superb with locally
grown produces. A good selection of cereals, home made jams
& marmalades. We didn't want to leave and will
definitely be going back for a longer stay. |

The
accommodation is immaculate and spotlessly clean, which was
great for us as we have a baby who is crawling all over the
floor. The decor has been done to a high standard and it is
a very comfortable place to stay. It is set in countryside
surroundings, so there was a lovely view from the room. We
were given a very warm and sincere welcome on arrival. It is
a shame we were only staying for one night. |

We
had a wonderful 5 days at Hillview, the room was lovley and
all the kitchen facilities a real bonus, especially the
washing machine which meant not going home with a case full

This
bed and breakfast is completely lost in the campaigne. It
has been very painful to find it, even with a detailed map.
So, it would be easier to find it with :
- markings bigger at the entrance of the bed and breakfast
- road signs at some of the intersections leading at the
b&b. |

Most
excellent bed and breakfast in all respects. From the warm
welcome to the super comfy bed, the delightful aspect of the
barn conversion and fantastic breakfast. Stay without
hesitation. We found it a little tricky to find, however we
had left the directions behind! Thank goodness for sat-navs.
Many thanks. |

A
delightful stay in a lovely part of the country. When using
again we would probably ask for one of the larger rooms as
the double room we had was rather cramped (albeit the
en-suite wet-room was very spacious). Breakfast was wonderful
and the hosts were friendly and very helpful with local
knowledge. A lovely quiet location. |

The
Barn conversion we stayed in was perfect. I am a cleaner in
a hotel in Norfolk and though I tried not to I looked at
Hillview through a cleaners eye, I couldn't fault it at all.
Mr. Nicholls was the perfect host and the breakfast was
scrummy and he was very attentive asking if we were ok and
if we wanted anything else. The surroundings were picture
postcard too. What else can i say? Well u must visit if u
can. Full marks to it. |

We
stayed as a family with my 11 year old grandson. The farm is
in a beautiful position with lovely views across the countryside.
We were made very welcome by the owners, nothing was too much
trouble. Lovely country style bedroom spotlessly clean. Best
breakfast ever with locally produced food. Thoroughly
enjoyable stay will definitely return and recommend to friends
and colleagues. |

We
stayed in the double room in the barn conversion. We were
greeted with tea and home-made cake - delicious and
unexpected! Our double room with en-suite wet room was
spotlessly clean and furnished to an extremely high
standard, with towels/shampoo and shower gel provided, as
well as tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, and TV. The
barn had 2 bedrooms off of the main living/dining/kitchen
area, so it would be perfect for a family group holiday as
it had a well equipped kitchen - home from home. The
breakfast (served in the main farmhouse) used local produce
and was very tasty. The bed was very comfy - no lumpy
mattresses ! We were given the name of a newly opened
restaurant in Wedmore called 'The Dining Room' which is also
to be recommended. Margaret & Mike were very friendly
and approachable. This B&B deserves its recent 4-star
rating and I would certainly recommend it ! |
